Mission Statement:
Helping the Community by providing basic food to needy people on a short term basis.

Opening hours:
It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00am – 11:30am

Criteria:
  • Low income

  • Identification – Community Services Card or employer letter.

  • If the visit is the second in a six-month period the client is required to make an appointment with a budget service.

  • Two parcels in a twelve-month period can normally be accessed. Extras require referral to a budgeting programme and written confirmation of need from a budget advisor. Clients can receive by this means further support (max. 6 parcels) per year. Christmas hampers are a free extra parcel.


  • How can you help?
  • Donations of food or money are always welcome.

  • Become a “Supporter of the Sallies Food Bank” by making regular financial contributions to the cost of running this service.

  • Attend our annual Cans Film Festival at Downtown Cinema 8.

  • Donate food to our Annual Food Drive.

  • Drop food into our donations box at Local Supermarkets.

  • Donate to the annual Red Shield Street Appeal held in May each year.
